Why I'm Running

Jennifer McDaniel

Welcome Friends!

I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to run for Clark County Council in order to represent my neighbors here in District 4.

As a Washougal City Councilmember, I’ve worked hard for my city. And that work has paid off! Washougal is flourishing. We have attracted new businesses; delivered family-wage jobs; completed much-needed city infrastructure projects; and improved services, transparency and communication with citizens, all while keeping property and sales taxes low.

I am proud of the work we have done in Washougal, and I want to bring my leadership, dedication, and collaborative spirit to the county council.

As your representative on the County Council, I will bring a fresh perspective that defends the interests of our district, while also working with the other councilors to find solutions that serve the entire county. Like the majority of voters in Clark County, I supported our new County Charter. We now have a county government that is more diverse and built for much more effective representation.

As we complete this transition, we must be ever-mindful of how we treat each other and how we work together. The council must welcome new ideas and treat all participants with the respect they deserve.

It is time to bring our County together again! We must put the divisiveness of recent years behind us and elect a candidate who can work with ALL of the County Councilors to accomplish our community’s goals. I have a proven track record of building relationships and collaborating to reach positive solutions.

This is my home, too. I love Clark County, and I want to work hard to help us put our best foot forward. In order to do that, we need new leadership! I would be honored to serve as your County Councilmember for District 4.
